A Friday with a Cause

For starters, the turn out was awesome for the "Rockers for Kids" benefit concert at the Gothic. Plastic Parachute rocked. They're a great band, a little on the punk side. Great to see them appear for the cause.

Wendy Woo came, played, left. So much for being a part of the benefit. Nina Storey didn't bother to show because Star Search is more important than Kids who need care.....????

I will apologize now for not remembering the names of the female-fronted blues band. I'm a sucker for the blues, and she had a great voice.

The Zen Barons put on a hell of a show for the young 'uns and kept us all out past our bed times.... I'll be sure to make it to their show on the 21st.

The final band was a Celtic band, and I personally had a lot of fun dancing and drinking.

As a person who has benefitted from the Children's Hospital, I'm always happy to support a worthy cause. The kids, parents and hospital staff are the best there is.

Godd nite for now!

TTYL!

it is ridiculous to give any negative attention to an artist like nina storey. if you have any questions about how many benefits that she does and has done-- for free (unlike many local musicians) and for kids, you should check out her webite for past shows.

i feel sorry for you that you had to add a seemingly malicious comment to an article about something so meaningful-- and so important to you.

good luck.
